Continuing its production activities in Aydın, Nazilli, Uğur Entegre Gıda started to produce 410,000 kWh of electricity per year with its rooftop solar power plant project. The project, which was commissioned on September 15, will also contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
Continuing its production activities in the food sector in Nazilli, Uğur Entegre Gıda continues to invest to reduce energy costs and produce its energy. Uğur Entegre Gıda tried to raise awareness about energy efficiency and started to benefit from renewable resources at the highest level by installing a rooftop solar power plant, and started to consume less electricity with equipment changes.
Uğur Entegre Gıda, which started to meet 75 percent of the energy it needs from the SPP, has created a system that can effectively manage energy by minimizing energy losses and energy costs in energy consumption and crowned this system with the internationally valid ISO 50001 Energy Management System.
Uğur Entegre Gıda, which has made progress in issues such as less greenhouse gas emissions, less carbon footprint, less exposure to changing energy prices, and reducing dependency on imported fuels to move forward with safer steps to the future, has prevented 245,000 tons of carbon dioxide gas emissions with the annual electricity it produces. It will prevent the cutting of 11,637 trees that will be spent for its production or will prevent the consumption of 96 tons of coal.
